Model Plan:
13:00¨Edo-Tokyo Museum¨Sumo Town walk¨Ameyoko Shopping
For an overview of the Tokyo's history, visit the Edo-Tokyo
Museum. Large-scale models and miniature exhibits, as well as
artifacts, would introduce you to the life of Tokyoites from the
old days to 1960's.
The museum is located right next to the Sumo Stadium, and
the area is home to Sumo wrestlers. Take a fun walk to look at shops
catering the "huge guys" and sumo spectators. Exploring
Ameyoko Shopping Arcade is a totally different experience
from shopping at snobbish Ginza district. About 500 small stalls
deal almost everything from fish to jewelry. Even if you missed
the early morning visit to fish market, you can still see the nation's
passion for seafood here in Ameyoko.
